Hughes Aviation Services has been providing aviation services and products to the greater Austin metropolitan area since 1996.  We operate a flight training business and provide flight training under Part 61 of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations.  We also sell aviation training materials and pilot supplies.

Our specialty is working with busy professionals who must fit their passion for flying lessons into a demanding schedule.  As such, our instruction is provided at your convenience to match your schedule and at the location of your choice.  Evenings and weekend lessons are no problem.  Programs of training are tailored specifically to meet your goals, and carried out at your pace.  We are happy to use your aircraft or we can provide appropriate aircraft, if needed.  Our rates are competitive and of good value.  Professionalism is the guideline for everything we do.  We teach flying because we love it.

If you are already a licensed pilot looking to add an instrument or multi-engine rating, you've come to the right place.  Instrument and multi-engine training are our specialty.  Or perhaps you'd like to earn a commercial pilot certificate, flight instructor certificate or additional rating.  We can handle those training jobs as well.  Aircraft checkouts, flight reviews, instrument competency checks, instrument refresher courses, FAA Wings Program training, and general pilot services are examples of the other services offered.

Individual ground instruction and formal classroom courses are offered to prepare you for required knowledge tests.  Our ground school courses include originally developed training materials which are based on official FAA flight training handbooks and publications.  Commercial third party products from ASA, Gleim, and Jeppesen are also used.  As a service to our students, we offer all of these materials for sale.
